Congratulations 2026 Scholarship Awardee - Jackson Ernst

Dear Wisconsin Hunter Ed. Association,

I feel extremely honored to be chosen as the recipient of the Wisconsin Hunter Education

Instructor Association Scholarship. I truly appreciate the generosity and I plan to use these

funds to help pay for my tuition, which will in turn help me further my education. With the

addition of these funds, I will be able to have a little more flexibility in my work schedule

allowing me to spend more time studying, as well as in the outdoors.

I am currently in my sophomore year here at UWSP and am continuing to pursue my degree in

forest restoration. This scholarship will help me to receive this degree and eventually, hopefully

help me become either a forester or habitat manager. My dream would be to help with

restoration projects as well as developing properties for game management. My love for the

outdoors is why I am pursuing this degree, and I want to help others develop the same love for

the outdoors that I have.

Once again, I cannot thank you enough for your support of my education and goals. I am going

to use this to not only get my degree, but hopefully in the future be in the position to give back

to others as well.
